I Know Nothing

When I became a parent there was so much I didn’t know – I still don’t know anything it seems. I purchased hundreds of dollars worth of manuals, texts & self help books. Everything from preparing for the birth, to feeding, to how do I change a nappy. I read them all. But even with all that preparation there have been many many moments over the past 10 months where I have thought “Oh they didn’t tell me that!”

6 months ago I was approached about participating in a fundraiser for Foundation18. I have written about them here. I am so proud & excited to now announce that this “secret squirrel” project is no longer secret!

An eBook filled with stories of Things They Didn’t Tell You About Parenting. 32 bloggers all opening their hearts to share their stories, sharing their individual views on this marvellous experience called parenting. I have laughed, I have cried & I have been amazed at what is shared in this publication.

All the money raised from the book will go straight to Foundation 18, to help make a real difference to children who don’t have a parent. Cate Bolt is offering them a new chance. A chance to grow up in a loving & supportive environment, where they will have the chance to attend school, and to learn that they can become valuable members of their communities.

For less than a cup of coffee you can read our stories. $4.99 per copy. Buy one now for yourself, for your mum, for your friends & for anyone else who needs a good read on a wintery night.
